All of us would like a place to home, a place to rest from a busy day, a place to share memories, a place to share with our loved ones, a safe place to raise our children in or a place to invest in. Whatever the reason we all desire to be homeowners. However, the truth is to become a homeowner is not easy.

There are various challenges to owning a home, first and foremost there is the issue of having enough money to purchase a home, purchasing at the right place, will the place have good security and access to adequate electricity and water and many more.

The sad truth is that it’s not getting easier to become a homeowner as each day passes. Every passing day, the price of homes get more expensive and you get much older making it harder for you to get a mortgage with low-interest rates. The longer you have to wait to purchase a home the more expensive it gets.

This is a situation faced by Moses Soita,  a Boda Boda (motorcycle) operator from Eldoret. Moses’ parents were not lucky to have a place they can call their own and Moses’ dream was to build a home for his parents. For Moses, it was a challenge to fulfil this dream due to the high costs associated with buying a house. That was until Moses came to learn of Kenya Houses Investments upon one of our exhibitions in Eldoret. He was introduced to our affordable homes program designed to help people like himself and others afford a home. He was introduced to various housing solutions and financing options that made it easy to afford a home.

Moses felt encouraged and has now embarked on building his parent’s a home with Kenya houses investments and fulfilling his dreams, with plans of building his own in the future.
